Raysa at the airport
Cha, Mom and Aunt Nd pick me up today at the office for lunch with Kang Imam. We stop by at Clairmont before going next door for lunch. I picked a Chocolate Mousse cake which look really delicious and would be excellent for a dessert, but apparently my Mom forgot to pay for it so I ended up with nothing for dessert.

She's already 9 months old today, how fast time went by. Next time you know you'll know I'm probably at the airport sending her for college. My god Im getting old, Im doing too much what if nowadays.
She's started to stand now, of course she still need to hold to sumtin to keep her standing still. Sometimes she can stand still on her own without any assistance for about 5 seconds. That's a remarkable development I should say!
Oh and one more thing, she loves to be on the driver seat playing with the honk and steering wheel. Whenever Nenda is driving she will try to jump to the driver seat. So does this mean that she wanna be a racer one day? We'll find out ...
Holiday is always great and I'm always happy to see a red mark on the calendar. On Fri I have to run some errand for future plan with Mei to some places which was not in a very convenient location. And on Sat Me, Mom and Cha went to Senayan City for lunch and coffee at Krispy Kreme and some window shopping. R meet me there afterward to watch The Pirates of the Carribean at World's End. Man ... Orlando Bloom looked really gooood in that movie! I hope they'll be making another sequel for the pirates coz I just love the whole Elizabeth, Will and Captain Jack characters (of course esp Will Turner).
Left Jakarta on Fri at 1 o’ clock, it took around 2 hours drive from Jakarta to Bandung and we arrived at around 4 and went straight to Ma Uneh in Setiabudi for late lunch. I was told that this restaurant was among the first that came up with the concept of so-called Sundanese fast food restaurant, hence the steeper price amongst the rest. Raysa seemed to enjoy the nice weather in Bandung.
The next day we went for some more FO hoppin with Rumah Mode first on the list. They have wide selection of Children, Men & Women wear. Lots of nice dresses with nice cutting, some of them are price reasonably but there are some that ridicilously expensive! Found a nice Giordano Bolero and fake Seven & MNG jeans which looked awful on me. As for the top, they're quite similar to those you can find in ITC, only pricier! Found several H&M tops as well priced at 200k, this is H&M we're talkin about! They're like Target or Supre in Oz, so I very much mind paying 200k for a H&M top that I found in FO!What I love about this place is that they have a cozy café, several restaurants and playground for the kids. The coffee that they serve is really nice, although they are not for the faint hearted cause the acidity of the coffee is really strong. I took my caramel latte without sugar and they taste just perfect, what’s better is taking your latte with single shot instead of double. Warung Bali also serve nice Nasi Campur and Lotek. Apart from that, they also have Eaton and Bumbu Desa which is another Sundanese fast food restaurant with a better price compared to Ma Uneh. Raysa love it here, cause the place is crowded and she can watch the kids playin at the playground. Two shops from Rumah Mode they have another FO called Natural, nothing fancy, but they have nice selection of children wear. Heritage & Cascade was pretty good as well, lots of local brand like Transform, Atmosphere and Ciel. I also went to Glamour & Raffles Hill in Dago afterward, but they’re not that good.
Leave Bandung on Sunday and the traffic wasn’t bad at all. It’s been a great long weekend. Meanwhile, R was spending his long weekend at a friend’s house that has a view to his own private beach. Wouldn’t you like that? Your own private beach? Will add the picture of the beach later.

Babies have a mind of their own, sometime you bought them an expensive toys only to find that they rather play with the box rather than the toys itself. Like here Raysa was really happy when we put her inside the container box which its real purpose was to store her clothing. She's espescially happy when we push the box around. 
Raysa usually sleep with me and R on our bed, we put her in between us. But for the last 2 days she's been sleeping with my Mom & Dad cause R is terribly sick and we wouldn’t want her to catch the cold. I felt like a sick puppy without her beside my pillow, I’m so used to seeing her face before I fell asleep. I’ll kiss her like crazy and fall asleep holding her hands. So last night It’s kind of odd that I don’t have to worry that I might accidentally fall on her while I was sleeping, but I cannot sleep at all, I was wide awake! I was even sleeping holding Raysa’s Green Kitten doll hands the day before. LOL! 
Sebulan yang lalu, waktu akungnya ke Singapur Raysa dapet oleh" Baby Gym. Walaupun sebenernya dari 3 bulan udah boleh ditaruh di baby gym ini, tapi belum sempet di beliin karena liat" yang di Mothercare mahal banget dan masa pakenya juga cuman sebentar jadinya gak dibeliin de. Eh ternyata Raysa suka banget mainan di baby gymnya. Setiap mainan yang digantung diatas ditarikkin sama dia. Terus dia suka bangetnya sama mainan ini karena dia bisa lompat kesana kemari dengan pegangan ban sekelilingnya dan dia jadi bisa berdiri" gitu. Jadinya kalau dia lagi di baby gym biasanya harus dijagain orang atau baby gymnya ditaruh diatas tempat tidur. Jadi kalo Raysanya lompat masih ke tempat tidur.
Tapi Raysa cukup beruntung juga, karena Mommy-nya hobi ngoleksi boneka dan barang lucu. Jadi selain bonekanya sendiri yang banyak, dia dapet warisan juga dan di kamarnya udah banyak pajangan" Marvin the Martian sama Disney Princesses.
Yesterday, when we're at the Debenhams bedding section, my Mom sit Raysa down at one of the display bed and I noticed that now she was able to sit up straight on her own for a long period of time.
Everyone that went to visit me after my labour swear that Raysa has no resemblance to me at all, she's 90% the woman version of R. But a bestfriend of mine insist from day one that Raysa had my nose, which I thought at that time couldnt be right cause hers is pointier than mine. Even my friend at the office pointed out the exact same thing. Until recently I found this photo of Raysa, her in her most mommy-like expression. So anyone who said that she does not have any resemblance to me at all can compare the two pictures, she obviously have my nose (I realised it now), the heart shaped face with the pointy chin, the way she arched her eyebrow is obviously me and the narrow set eyes also similar to mine except that hers is bigger. If you put a blush on on the side of her cheeck you can recognise that high cheek bone structure that I have. 
The weekend started with spending the Friday nite with Erry and Tegas. I get off from work around 6ish and meet Erry at her office and head for Senayan City for shoehunting at C&K. We fed our hungry stomach thai food at the Thai Express, which in my opinion was not a great thai restaurant but the Pad Thai was the best one that I can find here in Jtown. I bought a beige patent peep toe shoes with a stiletto heels - which looked similar to the one in the picture except that mine is peep toe. What better way to start a weekend than a nice new pair of shoes?
On Sat, I took Raysa to Senayan City and she's pretty happy that the mall was crowded and noisy. We we're lookin for a new shoes for Raysa, Adidas got some cute shoes for babies but unfortunately none left in Raysa's size. On the right is me with her while waiting for my Mom trying on jeans, which she finally bought after pondering for almost half an hour. We were planning to visit my SIL on the afternoon but R supposedly have unannounced urgent meeting.

On Sun, we took Raysa to the mall again and of course she's really happy. Espescially that everyone is there, Mom & Dad and Nenda & Akung. She couldnt stop giggling and jumping around. She even tried to snatch our food when were having our dinner. She got so tired she eventually fall asleep on my lap. We finally manage to find the Adidas shoes on Raysa size. I was actually looking for the one on the left first row on the picture below but they only have the smallest size, which is 0-3 months. So we ended up with the one similar to the shoes on seocnd row in a pink/peachy coloured. When she's abit older I think I will buy her the mary-jane one, she'll look cute running around with this shoe and a frill dress - if they still have those in store. 
Which one suit her better? The bow or the watermelon? I reckon she looked good in both.

Raysa started to take her meals when she was 4 months, as per doctor’s recommendation we start giving her orange and apple juice along with milk cereal. Most babies will completely wean to solids when they reach 6th months old as the mother’s breast milk doesn’t have sufficient iron and nutrients for the developing baby anymore.What kind of food is ok or not ok for her?
How many meals a day should she take and at what quantity?
What kind of elements does she need on her food to help her grow?
Since there are so many questions piling at the back of my mind I decided to browse for a book that has information on baby’s food. So last Saturday I went down to Kinokuniya and after several excellent books I found one that I really like, Superfood for babies and children by Annabel Karmel. What I liked about this book is that it explained the food that your baby need at different stages of her age. The book also provided a meal plan that you can use as a reference along with the recipes. Next to the recipes there’s an explanation why certain fruit/veggie/fruit is good for your baby.
